Post HELP! Lost my Hardhat Headlamp
Several years ago, one of the guys on this forum(I think) made me a sweet headlamp out of a hardhat and and airline runway lamp. Today on the way home, it blew out of the boat in the high winds and I didn't realize it. Now, I'm without it and that thing was awesome. I need to find a way to get another. If someone knows who makes them or has the plans for how to make one, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Pd and gd sell them and there are plenty of other places to get them.

If you want to build one yourself, they sell the bulbs at napa and hardhat lights can be found just about anywhere.

I bought one of the cheap headlamps off ebay. Its the 1600Lm CREE XM-L XML T6 LED Headlamp, found here http://www.ebay.com/itm/1600Lm-CREE-XM- ... 3cca304a4e

I just needed something while I was driving through the marsh before sunrise. Even though its was only $25, I still worried I'd wasted my money. I dont have experience with lighting, so I have nothing really to compare, but its plenty bright and lights up stuff past 100 yrds. It will definitely do the job.

Check this page out. http://www.drundel.com/hunt/hardhatlight/
Pretty easy to do if you have a drill and hole saw.
