don't know how the "condition" system works on gun, but i would say it's in good condition! no rust, bluing looks good, stock & upper grip is in good shape! gun shoots fine!
i have been considering sellin' it

From the S/N it looks like it was made in Feb of 1975. Since it starts with an "L" then that means the second month (Feb). (To much to type to explain that) Next is the year - '75. They didn't start making the 1100's in .410 until '69.

Does it have peace symbols or flowers on it? That might prove it's from the '70's... 8-)

As far as value - my guess would be $700 tops depending on condition. I'm probably way off lol. Check gunbroker.com

The 1100 in 410 is a O.K. gun for field use with three inch field loads. However using the 2.5" skeet loads its a jammer. I killed many geese with mine in the early Sept goose seasons. I shot a bunch of teal with it too. My daughter shot her first duck [bluewing] with this gun. I went to a Winchester model 42 in 410 for my teal gun and shot a truck load of teal with it. I sold both to pay cash for my GDSD rig. If you want a 410 reloader I know where one is [my shop] and will trade or make a deal with it.

IMO those guns are all good the .410, the 12 and 20. I use to have a 1100 12ga very nice....That .410 looks like it is in very good shape...500 is a good price its pratically a collectors item...

Im sure there are pleny of guys that would love to take that gun off your hands, but like Brooks said save it for the grandson. I've sold one gun in my life and still regret it today. And it was a pretty generic gun, too. So I made myself a promise I would never sell one again. Sorry to those that want the gun, but you should keep it.
