I have a 16 by 46 aluminum skiff i use it mostly for duck hunting, frogging, and crawfishing. Im trying to decide between a gatortail or prodrive. Which would be the best for what i do and what size engine?

I ran a modded 35 Gatortail on a 16x48 for years

35 GTR, friend runs one on his skiff, great combo

Test drive both if possible. Whistling wings prefers a GTR for commercial Crawfishing where as gator killer prefers PD. you really want be disappointed either way. Both are stand up comapines with excellent customer service

Get one with reverse. There are only 2 companies offering reverse. I run the GTR and it fits all my needs. I rn it on a 1748.

35/36 block, what type of terrain? Both have their own advantages.

Well ive decided to go with the gator tail and im thinking about goin woth the 25 gtr im affraid the 35 is gona be to heavy and to big for my boat. Any opinions about the 25gtr?

That 1646 should float a 35 fine. Ingtail on here has a 35 GTR on a 1644 go devil, does great.

I ran a 35 on a 1644 GD boat, no problems. Rocketman runs a 35 on a 1646, no problems. I think GTB Builder even has a 35 on a 1544.
