So as a lot of y'all know, I just got one if the new beretta a300 outlanders, and ill start by saying I absolutely love it! It was the only shotgun that fit me perfectly, did everything I needed it to in a price I could afford(650$). That being said, if my shotgun cycles every load perfectly every round for years to come and never fails me, what would someone gain by getting say a Benelli Cordoba (2100$)??? I know you're comparing Toyotas to lamborghinis but realistically what would be the difference in the shooting/operation of the two? Would a high end shotgun just last longer? Less felt recoil? Not talking about the ability to shoot 3 1/2's, I know of that difference. Not looking for a debate to defend my new gun, I'm really just uneducated when it comes to high end semi autos. I'm sure on some level I would have what you call 'high end', guess it just depends on who you ask.

I cant really answer your question, but its like buying the stoger 3000? (Semi-auto) vs the sbe2. I hear everything with the firing mechanisms are the same. So maybe type of material or quality of said material? Good question though.

A guy on shotgunworld asked a similar ? recently and the best answer he could get is that it would last long enough to hand down to grand kids.

I would have to say, no matter what gun you buy, if you dont take care of it you might as well toss it. No matter what you paid.

6-7 had a guy show up to shoot five stand with his 20k krieghoff shotgun, kicked his ass reguraly. He complained it was the gun we switched still same results. Point being gun dont make you a shooter/hunter

I shoot a sbe2.. It's absolutely what fits you, but I have to say I have had my gun for 5 years now and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It's been through it all...dropped in boats, in the mud, rain, under water, everything! And it's still shoots every single time and I don't have to clean it hardly. after saying that, my dad shoots a Maxus and that's a sweet machine

I shoot a m2 benelli, I used to shoot an 1187 and it is like toyota and ferrari.
My brother spent a season telling me his stoger is a benelli action, it's close but I found a lot of differences.
The only common thing is the bolt head. The benelli will cycle everything, not the stoger.
If the 2 guns are side by side he picks up my m2 before his.

Best way I can describe it is an 870 Express vs a Wingmaster.

870 express and 870 wingmaster are good guns. I do not know about high end guns, I shoot with a Charles Daily auto 3inch, previuos gun was 870sportsman12 mod. I have a 20 guage full choke wingmaster and an 1100 12 guage full choke 30 inch barrel(Last two or for my sons) So guess my opinion does not count here, I do kill ducks with the cheap ass daily gun, never jams with 3inch magnums.

I have a 1983 870 Wingmaster fixed mod that is flawless. It definitely seems better finished than the ones of today.

It's a beretta Rod. It'll probably last you two lifetimes. The 3901 and the 391 Silver Mallard were less expensive guns but will kill anything with hooves or wings and you don't see bad reports on them. I like the feel of your new weapon as well. I may own one before too long myself..
