Well I got my motor back from Calen after having his stage 1 installed. When he broke the motor down he found rust in cylinder and had to over bore .02" to fix. Runs like a beast now.

Before
23-25 mph | Shallow
19 - 22 mph | Deep

29-30 mph | Shallow Water <1 ft. 4100 rpm
26 - 27.5 | Deep Water > 30 ft. 4100 rpm

Comments:
This rig would run 19-22 mph up the same river and bump 25 mph on a LOOONNNGGGG mud flat. I'd lose speed everytime I made a turn. Getting on step took a while with normal hunting loads. Now it jumps up in a heart beat and I have power to stay on step weaving the narrow bayous.
I liked the rig before the mods but absolutely love it now. Ran a good 10 miles up river Saturday and boat just sat at 27 at 4,150 rpm's. Before I couldn't get more than 3800 in the sweet spot.

Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of passing someone. Almost forgot what that felt like.

To compare dad has a 1650 w/o huntdeck with a 40 hp Merc and I can hang with him until I run out of gas.
