Go to a store and blow them both.

I blew a bunch of calls in Mack's and walked out with an Echo XLT one time.

I also own a bunch of RNT calls & my go to is a RNT short barrel in Bois d arc.

I am an RNT fan but have a few buddies blow echo, suggest taking several calls for a drive. I bought my last RNT at the shop and blew 9 of the same call and each had a slightly different sound and feel. Give the old style and micro hen a roll. In the timber calls cocbolo or wood seems to be more ducky IMO.

I've got an acrylic echo DRT and a cocobolo RNT timbre and I like them both, but in the timber I'm on that RNT. I like a wood call in the woods, I like the softer tone and you can still get loud enough on it to get their attention. I use acrylics for open water...the DRT acrylic is good for finishing em in open water, not as loud as my open water acrylic.

Its all in your voice and how you operate a call. Ive got a friend that makes a Zink call of his sound amazing, and when I pick it up, I cant make it sound good to save my life.

i know hobo wasnt in the topic, but i do have both the ICU2 and Prime Meat, main reason i have the "hobo" models is bc i got a killer deal on them. Back to main, i like Echo over Rnt
