Had to work this morning, but sounds like not much happening in my neck of the woods.

We killed a dozen. It was pretty poor.

I sat in a ground blind for four hours waiting on a deer, only saw 3 coons.

I'm glad I had work from all the reports I've recieved.

1 grey duck.........thursday we had 13 by 830 and finished up the 3 man limit at 915.....17 greys and a mottled.......gonna try again tomorrow....

We shot a 5 man limit

We was finished at 6:30

I predict 6 limits of gadwall, spoonbills, ringnecks, and buffleheads in the morning by 7:10.

Not too terrible of a hunt, but def pissed me off. Had some fucking kids row up towards us, shined them off, kept coming. Asked them what was up, and they "didnt drive 3 fucking hours to hunt somewhere else". Set up 100ydsaway and fucking skyblasted every fuckibg bird they saw within 80 yards (including water turkeys). We still ended up with a nice bag though...

23 scaup, 2 redheads, 2 gadwall, 8 buffleheads, & 1 spooner.

It was like a dove shoot, I couldn't reload fast enough. It was fun. I shot steel #7's and wreaked havoc.

My question is.. Is everyone in general experiencing lower numbers I certainly have the bays here are empty

How long did it take you to find those birds, Owen?

I scouted from 12 till dark and didn't find one spot with truley huntable numbers, they just arent in our area.

And nothing Saturday... It's too damn hot

There were big birds flying high...plenty of them but no decoying any of them. A couple blinds in Henderson north flats prolly did well but I don't know. One I'm sure must have had at least 5 or 6 guns, maybe more cause they sounded like a fleet of battleships firing at the same target. Maybe was theredneck..with his 500 decoys.

I havent even seen birds around here.. Ive given up until it cools down, if that ever happens. No point in goiing and gettin eat up by masquitos and sweating my nuts off, only to kill one or two birds.

Well as shitty as some hunts may have been it sure as hell beats being stuck behind 12 computer monitors watching the flashing numbers.

4 Limits both Saturday and Sunday. Not much quality but a bonus both days.
