 First hunt of 2013 Got to try out the new deeks. Damdest thing watching ducks come in to goose deeks. Definately hindered myself shooting a double barrel. Fun watching how real those sillosocks and slammer socks look. Set up in a flippin cow pasture though which didn't help.

Re: First hunt of 2013 There are some pretty stellar areas in Kansas to do combo hunts for light and dark geese. Most of the Canada's are lessers when shooting both lights and darks on the same hunt though.

Re: First hunt of 2013 Is it just the way the heads are hanging or are those Ross geese? The beaks look real small in that pic or I'm just a dumbass. If for some reason they are, I've never killed anything other than a white Ross goose. And those sillosocks are pretty cool

Re: First hunt of 2013 At least you went 2 for 2. My last speck hunt we killed all but 2 that were runts lol felt like a rookie. I figured they weren't Ross but from that angle them beaks and necks look short
Btw, you killed more in them 2 shots than I have with almost a whole box of shells with my my over n under. I just can't hit a damn thing with it
