 transom problems
I h'ave a 2002 1442 model G3 its 14ft and has a 48" bottom in it, my transom is roughly about 14-16'' im having problem i just purchased a 23hp dixie vangaurd Surface drive with now 2 hours on it, my problem im having is i cannot trim my motor down without water splashing over my transom its not like spilling over the transom but it does eventually fill up when i run so therefor i have to go everywhere right now with my motor trim up and its only letting me run about 9-10 mph and not allowing my motor to dig any in the shallows so i end up pushing alot withch is the hole reason why i purchased the motor. i thought about a transom build up or a jack plate but i am new to the mud motor thing and looking for some answers before i start. any advice would be greatly apprecaited. thanks!
