 10hp longtail prop size
building a 10hp longtail and need recommendation on prop size. 8x4 sound right?

I have a spare 9 hp that has a 8x3 so that sounds right

depends on the boat and load,,,ive gota a 8x4 with a 11hp pushing a 14/36 rpms are 3800 with gov gone,,,light load,, heavy load she drops down too 3500rpms,,, i orderd a 7x4 at the same time to compare,, and i lost some speed but rpms jumped up too 4200,,,,if your looking to chew through the mud and veg alot,,the smaller will be good on a similar boat,,i prefer the 8x4 for better top speed....
