 Knocking sound, Help! I have a 23Hp Dixie mud motor. I just rolled over 4 hours on the motor. This morning when I ran my boat I noticed when it get about idle there is a knocking noise. It only does it when the motor is trim down in the water. I've checked the the belt and it was tight any suggestions.

Re: Knocking sound, Help! My 23 will knock if I trim down and idle. Switched over to 93 octane no ethonal no more knock. What octane gas you running?
