what have you found out about the subaru engine and possible mods.....im sure head work can be done, but what else? Can the injectors be reworked?

I think I may have heard something about adding an aftermarket ATV fuel modulator to go along with the heads and aftermarket exhaust. Cody or Justin I know have talked about something. I just wonder who's going to be the guinea pig and try it out.

I havent seen any aftermarket exhausts for the subaru yet, i am going to build a mm clone for mine eventually and am looking at possibly sending the injectors in to get them cleaned up for a better atomization of fuel. A fuel modulater would be a good idea, but i think i would want to reprogram mine to also adjust timing and fuel etc.....

any thoughts on reworking the injectors?

Power commander atv programmers plug in to the stock Ecuador of atv's so you might be able to rig one of them up, you can take them to an atv shop and have a custom map done for any of the power commander programmers. We have a shop in Jackson that is called flynt's custom powersports and he knows his shit. I had my programmer on my brute mapped by him and it made a world of difference

That would prolly depend on how mild the stock tune is...if its already near the limitations of the stock injectors and fuel system, you wouldn't be able to do a whole lot without upsizing the fuel system right? Gotta be able to deliver what you tell it to deliver

From what I have seen they can( in the atv world anyway) they can port the injectors some and gain some performance. I had my brute bored to a 840 (750 stock) with heads p&p and decked .55, flynt's cams, a full muzzy exhaust system and a power commander 5 with a custom tune. She produced somewhere around 82 hp at the crank and about 68 at the wheels and a shit ton of torque all on stock size injectors
