Duck dog challenge:
Handler will be iDuck dog challenge:
Handler will be in blind with judge & no more than one spectator.. He will call on duck call when ready. Bumper will appear. Handler can shoot up to 3 times if needed. Must shoot 2&3/4 in. shells nothin larger than 7&1/2 shot. Once balloon is popped or all 3 shots have been fired handler may send dog for bumper. Dog must retrieve bumper to handler in blind. Handler may get out of blind to work dog. Handler must stay in front of blind. But handler can't take bumper till both handler & dog are back in blind .
There will be three division . Puppy division
Puppy must 16 months or younger. This class will get 3 single marks. The handler & dog will have 12 minutes to complete if not the pup will be scratched.
Season class
This can be a fun class. Dog can be any age. This is for the dog that is not on hand singles yet or not yet running blinds.The class will get 1 single 1 double . They will also get 12 minutes to complete or dog will be scratched.
Finish class
This for the finish dog that is capable of running blinds. They will get 2 doubles and 1 blind. They will also have 12 minutes to complete or will be scratched.
Feb 16, starting at 11am. Gate will be open at 9 if you would like to come early and walk dogs around blind and get them used to it. Bring the whole family. Bring your lawn chairs. There will be a small concession stand set up with hot dogs chips cookies drinks etc. There will be no alcohol allowed.
Directions
Take hwy. 21 north out of monroeville go to the 51 mile marker take next rd to left which is Roberson creek rd. go to stop sign go straight will turn to dirt. Go appox. 4 miles cross bridge first rd to right. I will have signs posted. Entry fee will be 40 for pups 50 for season & finish. I will hold 10 for expenses and pay the rest out. leave it up for vote on how many places to pay out..For any more info feel free to call Chris hare at 251-714-0222...
