i know its all my choice if want another 12" of room or a little more performance but still cant decide..

from what I've been hearing that extra foot will help you with a load if and when you have one. I know I have been trying to make the same decision on a larger rig, I could go shorter and shed some weight and gain a little speed with light loads but about the time I put 3-4 guys in the boat the extra space and surface area will definitely come in handy IMO. I won't be winning races but I should be able to efficiently haul a crew of guys to the blind.

ya thats what ive been told but if i went from 1654 to 1754 i wouldnt be able to even move i know thats just to much boat so im thinking the 1654 with the options im getting is going to be border line to much boat not sure though

You can figure about 30lbs or less a foot on length...I would prolly go 1654 if I were getting a wider boat. My boat is an 1840 with a 25gtr......

I was talking to Kyle one day about a customer's order. Guy was thinking about a 1654 for a 25. It wasn't recommended at the time. Either 1554 or 1646 if you're looking 15-16' range.

Personally longer. Im going with a 1746 or 1844 with my next hull just cause it helps when loaded down compared to a short fat boat. They tend to push alot of water.

im kinda confused now them guys are telling me the 1654 would be better than the 1644 which i get but they dont recomend the 1654 for the 25 but they do for the 1644 i guess thats only if you never put a load in it who buys one of these boats without planning on putting a load in it???

pretty much i should get the 1554 because i have to get the 25hp due to hp limit lakes i hunt and im not looking to hunt alone or be slower than shit with a load? unless someone knows that the 1654 with a load wouldnt be to bad

With a 25 either go 1554, 1646, or 1840. If you plan to haul a bunch of crap, go longer. If just you & a cooler for fish or beer, you can get by with any of them. If you simply have an "I really want this boat" mindset, then we're all wasting our time, because no matter what we say, you've already made the decision & just want somebody to tell you you're making right choice.

i havent made the decision thats why i posted this question the 1646 just seemed skinny to me i feel like i could get better load in the 1554 what your opinion on that? id go with the 1646 over the 1554 if coud get a better load and performance out of it not sure though

You are going to carry a load better with the 1646, I am running a 20x42 with a 25 outboard and I was running this season with 4 people, dog and all of our gear. I have also had 7 people, 3 dogs, 4 ice chests and some floats going to the sandbar at the lake in it.

Just a ? But why a 24volt trolling motor. 3 batteries in a boat with a 25 is pretty much performance suicide

ya i know but i fish a bunch bass tournys and on the trolling motor all day i will have them batteries out and motor off while playing and hunting...

I went with a 16-48 for the lil 25. .125 bottom and transom, .100 sides.

Ya 1648 seems perfect for it I might look into custom

There ain't much difference at all in a 16-46 and a 16-48.....you are putting too much thought into it.

16x46 is a hot boat for these 25's
