Looking at doing some light mods to my 2010 36 PD. Had some questions for you enthusiast out there. Where in SETX can I go to get this work done to it. I have been told about the different stages, and I'm not sure which what all each entails? I didn't wanna break the bank, so was wanting to go stage 1 because that's an exhaust and carb right? I just wanna get my hp up and get my rpms back where they should be. Just was looking for some feedback from guys that have had the work done and where I could bring mine here locally.

You can go to SETX Performance (they have a website setxperformance.com) and depending on who does your work depends what a stage 1 entails. it will either be:
heads exhaust carb or cam heads exhaust

If you are just wanting to do exhaust and carb, order them and put it on yourself.

Stage 1 is heads, cam and exhaust and is the most popular and most reliable engine mod.

Easy easy...I mentioned Cody cause yes he's in SETX and yes he did my engine. He's done a zillion others here in town too not to mention far and abroad. I'm sure Hoyt and Calen are just as capable and do outstanding work. Cody just fit the location criteria the man asked for.

quick question about setx, im in Alabama and not wanting iron mountain and would like to send my heads to a reputable source, can I ship them to setx to be worked?

yes

Yes. Cody gets entire motors shipped to him all the time. When I was getting mine done there was at least (2) there in crates. I believe he said one was from Maryland

What are the benefits of sending your heads to setx or Hoyt. Rather than ordering a set of iron mountain from bps? With do u think makes more hp? Cheaper/economical ? Last longer? How do you contact Hoyt?

Lets just say for example. 2 guys with IM heads Guy A and Guy B. Guy A went ride with Guy B, Guy B walked the dog on Guy A, Guy B Then talked all kinds of smack, Guy A went to Cody told him what happened so Cody took a set of his heads and put on Guy A's motor. Guy A and Guy B hit the water again and Guy A walked the dog on Guy B which needless to say pissed Guy B off greatly. I heard that Guy B won't come out his room. not sure if that last part is true or not. but the rest is! lol

There is a ton of difference between the two. Everything I've seen on here from Cody is beyond exceptional work. Do remember that SETX is custom and IM is an off the shelf head. I'm running IM heads and they are way better than stock. That being said, I have my stock heads I will be sending to SETX. I will say on my IMs, I had Al at PVT do some more work on them.

In my head when I think custom I think chaching! Money. Looking at this work makes me think it's worth it. But I guess I just gotta call him and get the actual quote though.

From what I understand, there's very little price difference. The real benefit is that you can tell him what you have, what you carry, and what you'd like it to be able to do. With that info and some specifics, he can shave your heads and cut you a custom cam that will work together to help you achieve your specific goals of performance and reliability. I know that's vague, but how else do you describe custom work without knowing the specifics. It's all about you and your motor!

Got a GTR for sale with EXHIBIT A on it, never ran better. Only thing stock on my motor is the crank and flywheel. From the pictures above you can see clearly why people choose Cody's work over a mass produced set of heads.
