 2010 35hp cdi not chargingmy 2010 gtr is not charging a battery what should I look into first

Re: 2010 35hp cdi not charging your voltage regulator on the side of your motor, check it with a voltage meter to see what voltage it is putting out.

Re: 2010 35hp cdi not charging Check the red wire from the VR with a voltmeter- should be putting out 12V at idle and up to 14.4 at ~3500 RPM.

Re: 2010 35hp cdi not charging Check the yellow wires from the stator for AC volts on the other side of the voltage regulator, if there is voltage there, its the regulator needing to be replaced.

Re: 2010 35hp cdi not charging put a voltage meter on it today and it's not reading anything from the red wire or the plug that comes from the fly wheel
