I think the US is a great country, but we have to improve educating our young and eliminate racial, gender and age prejudice. We do that and we remain at the top.

The US is great , but we won't stay that way with your thinking. Gimmie , gimmie, gimmie attitude that your party supports . It's progressiveness , you couch your arguments in terms of health, equality , spread the wealth. Progressives hate profitability, they don't like profit , unless it's their own. You want to take from me , a hard working ,veteran, tax payer, level the field so to speak. I've got no problems helping the truly needy . But I won't stand for this continuance of rewarding the lazy. DG i dont know you from adam, but how do we better educate our kids? how about we fire the teachers that show no improvement via their kids test scores and allow for more opportunities for better equipped teachers to be hired? oh yea we cant fire teachers due to test scores because they have teacher unions. what about the parents that work hard and send their kids to private schools that are able to hire better teacher, oh yea those people are racist and should pay more in taxes.

as far as race, gender, gay, blah blah blah stuff. no one party has it worse off politically than the white males. in a neutral hiring scenario, a black, woman, gay, or minority will be offered jobs first over a more qualified white man due to equal opportunity programs.

people who cry racist/prejudice are first to get govt hand outs. if you really want the best for america, let the private market decide winners and loser, not the govt. look at all govt ran programs, all in the red.

Educating your kids is not a job of the government; it is the job of the parents.

We pay more money per student than any nation in the world, and our education system is a joke. When the liberals got their fingers in the mix, we did a nose dive on math and science.

When the government puts its hands on education, what they really do is unleash indoctrination that keeps people voting for liberals.

In the 1950s, we ranked in the top of the world in education. The minute we got rid of prayer, Bible, and creation, we dropped in math and science. We then turned around and started the whole cross town bussing nonsense, resulting in dropping standards to the lowest common denominator.

Jimmy Carter placed education nationally in the hands of the US government, and we dropped even lower. Our schools are a multicultural mess that promotes socialism, refuses to teach real history, and teaches a disdain for our own constitution and the founding fathers. Our schools are more about being a social club, than a place of education. In the 1950s, a young man was expected to look like a young man. He dressed as such, and the same goes for young ladies. Now there are no standards, and we got kids walking around looking like circus freaks with all manner of piercings, sagging britches, long freaky hair.... Our kids do not look like young adults, thus they do not act like young adults.

If you give a flip about education, pull your kids out from the public heathen institutions, and either home school, or place them in private education. My girls attend a small Christian School that has the absolute highest ACT scores in the state. Nationally, home school kids score highest on the ACT and SAT, next is private school, with public school in last place.

I refuse to let Hillary and the village of idiots to have one ounce of influence on my daughters. If enough Americans do the same, we can take the public schools out of the hands of the federal government; put it back under control of the state, local government, and parents. Back in the day, we had one room school houses that gave a better education than we have now.
