 Re: Show your boat stereo
Anyone used one of these to power some 6.5's? Looks like it would work good, but I don't know the difference between "RMS" and "max output". https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q ... 8975,d.eWU

 Re: Show your boat stereo
I have used a similar amp to that they work pretty good but there different brands just go to eBay and search motorcycle amp. Rms is the countious output. Idk if wondering about rms of a speaker or rms of an amp. Rms on a speaker is is high wattage you play a speaker continuously with distorting or damaging the speaker. Rms on an amp can be very complicated to understand being it may varry by ohm load and/or voltage.

I'm getting 4 6.5s and head unit from a fellow jew. I hope to be jammin pretty soon. Gonna try it without amp first to see how it goes. May add an additional small sub as well. Gonna put all my stuff in an ice chest though.

Just ordered a couple of the camo marine bazooka 6.5s and a 300 watt amp for the new boat. Got about $130 in all of it, including wiring.

 Re: Show your boat stereo
I have 4 6.5 speakers , I forget the brand , with I think is dual marine or Jensen marine, it's has great sound quality but not loud enough to hear over a GTR with gutted exhaust , I plan on putting a small amp so my speakers get full amperage

 Re: Show your boat stereo
Those audiotubes work good, I got that same one from back in my ATV days. All sealed too, I've had it under water in a mud hole more than once and its still tickin. I got an ice chest radio with 2 pioneer 6x9s thats a little louder I use in the boat though.

 Re: Show your boat stereo
These can be bought for 6" or 6x9's, and mounted under the extended deck. No need to cut big holes in the boat. http://m.ad-discountperformance.com/ind ... _id=134470

 Re: Show your boat stereo
Don't have any video of how loud it it. Used an old 35 quart cooler. Got a pair of cheap 6x9s and a pair of 4s from Walmart along with a MP3 capable cassette player. Wired everything together, drilled a ½" hole out the bottomand pulled about 9ft of wire for power and put two clips on the ends to connect to my battery terminals. I can set it anywhere in my F4 and hear it over my MMX running.

 Re: Show your boat stereo
Does anybody use a good amp that just uses your phone to play tunes with Bluetooth? I'd like to put a stereo in my next boat but I'd like it to all be mounted up out of the way somewhere and just play music on my phone
