Re: 23 GTR stage II I do know one ole boy that has a 23 GTR. Dont know if its stage II or what. Says he got head work and a cam. Dont know about exhaust or carb. I do know that on a 15 foot Lake Sport it carries the hell out of 5 grown men. Its very impressive. Didnt pick up a whole lot of speed on top end but will carry just about anything you can put in that lil boat.

Re: 23 GTR stage II That was my reason for inquiry. Seems more practical to me for a smaller lighter weight engine with more horsepower. Especially if you have a smaller boat.
I would like to know how fast that guys boat runs.

Re: 23 GTR stage II The 23van responds well to mods its not a prob to get 40 ponies out of
that block & it runs smother at all rpms
we have done some mods on the 23 ( stage 1, stage 3) with great
results. send me one lets see what it can do!!

Re: 23 GTR stage II buddy of mine has a 23 MB mini that has the new heads,pushrods, lifters, mikuni, exhaust etc. He's got about 6-7 grand in the motor. On a 1538 GT Rogue with hunt deck, he is getting about 29 by himself. We really haven't loaded it down, but with me and him total about 425lbs. Its doing about 26 or so.

Re: 23 GTR stage II When we put Waynes engine together it surprised the hell out of us. For a 23gtr it carries 3 people up to 28-29 mph pretty good.

Re: 23 GTR stage II lilcatdaddy, do you own one ? Or,you looking into getting one? I have a friend in New Iberia that has a 23gt with Mikuni carb,mb crossover exhaust,and all the internals that is gonna be putting it up for sale in the next week or so.
