 Son Bowfishing My Son 16 has taken up Bow Fishing. He can really hit the fish. At times too good. We are having problems with ID on Fish and his bow which is about 45lbs is maxed out. He is not getting through and through penetration resulting in lost fish. Should we get a larger bow?

Re: Son Bowfishing I shoot less than 30lbs! What tips, is the bow tuned? Does the arrow splash the water, what arrows? How far or deep are the shots?

Re: Son Bowfishing Obviously I know very little on the Subject but he is using Fiberglass arrows with Tips that are pretty pointed. He must unscrew them to reverse the wire to get them off. His Bow is tuned to him. He is Left Handed so I had to take it to a shop to get it set up right. He is hitting fish at about 10 yds or so. By no means right at the side of the boat. Fish are about a foot deep.

Re: Son Bowfishing is the bow a recurve or a compound, I assumed a compound the first time... Does it have wheels one the ends? Take some pictures and post them of everything you got.

Re: Son Bowfishing Out of tune, or the limbs have gotten weak. I shoot 28lbs and have problems with blowing through fish.
