 17/56 35 gtr tail
I'm having RGD out of malvern ar. Build a 17/56 with 18" hunt deck, 6' front deck, rod box, small live well, 24" sides, and removable bowfishing rails with LED lights. Saying all this brings me to my question because I know less than nothing about surface drives will a stock gtr 35 push this rig ok? Not looking for a speed demon but want it to plane out and roll on.

 Re: 17/56 35 gtr tail
Multi purpose type boat little bowfishing/crappie fishing but mostly to bowhunt and duck hunt I've always had outboards but I think for the things I'm trying to do a gtr will work well

 Re: 17/56 35 gtr tail
The main load when bowfishing will be batteries. I'm running LED lights so I can get away from the generator. I've heard the mods will really make a difference so if I'm not getting what I want out of it that'll be the next step. Thanks for the reply because like I said I know nada about these things

 Re: 17/56 35 gtr tail
One more quick question I know with an outboard if you have it raised completely out of the water the trolling motor gets tough to steer because no rudder in the back. Will the gtr tail provide enough rudder while on the trolling motor to keep the boat tracking strait
