 How to measure worn prop
I got a use 25 gdlt and i read on the go devil web site that my motor takes a 9x6 and mine if i measured it right is 8x4 not sure were to measure from. Some advice would be helpful.

Measure from the outer most edge to the other outer most edge. Tip to tip.

I measured my prop like fellers said and it is 8 inchs is that bad, will that cause me to lose some speed , i dont know much about this motor so that why im askin. I got 17 mph out of it, and my boat is 1546 xpress.

If that motor calls for a 9x6 then it wouldnt hurt to try one. If ya know somebody that would let ya borrow one just to try before ya spent the money on one that would be a good idea. It doesnt take much wear at all on a surface piercing prop to make a huge difference in performance. If ya got one inch of wear thats alot.

I ran a 16 & a 23 hp longtail and when i got both of them the props were worn an inch. Putting new props on helped a little bit with speed but made a huge difference in the mud. As long as you're motors running right, It will be worth youre money.
And when you get the prop off, if remember correctly, it has the original size stamped on the end of the prop.
