 Advice Needed
I have 17/52 excel with MB 35 Mini on it. When out of the water or stopped motor will turn with ease. When running my motor will absolutely wear you out tryin to turn. Its all I can do sometimes to straighten out. You guys have any idea what might cause this and any advice how I can resolve the issue. Thanks in advance.

 Re: Advice Needed
Have you greased everything , what do you have in the back of the boat ie fuel cell, battery ? Have you played with the trim angle while running?

 Re: Advice Needed
Yeah everything is Greased, battery in the back. I will add my boat has full floatation and is very heavy. I've just noticed when riding with buddies it's like being on vacation if I run there rig.

 Re: Advice Needed
Weight placement can make a huge difference. Put the battery up front and see what that does. Mine has a "sweet spot" on the trim . Do you have it trimmed too far down???

 Re: Advice Needed
You talking about trying to turn under full power? If so let off a little and then when you get it back around get back in it....also when turning towards yourself thats the nature of owning a mudmotor, sharp turns will put you to work, its worse in mud

 Re: Advice Needed
Is it fighting you even when driving straight or only when turning is it difficult? What size shaft are you running? 27,32

 Re: Advice Needed
As long as the weight is balanced good it doesn't fight while running. 32 inch shaft. Getting into a turn is no problem. Coming out of it is where my problem is.

 Re: Advice Needed
That's normal, with GT, GD, MB, only motor I have driven that is alittle smoother in the turns is the PD. Reason being is it has more weight hanging off the transom, skeg design plays a part
