Post Shooting
After a not being used since last duck season I broke out my beretta to get ready for dove season. Something has happened and I cant hit the broad side of a barn. When shooting skeet last night I switched to shooting with only one eye open and the problem was fixed. Is this caused by the gun fitting poorly, I have shot with both eyes open my entire life and never had this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You've never had this problem before? Stigmatism can cause your eyes to grow weak one eye takes over... I'm right handed left eye dominant.

There are shims that should have come with the gun to adjust the stock or maybe that's just on my benellli...

I'd go schedule a visit with your doctor to check your vision.

x2. If closing the non dominant eye fixed the problem, you may want to check with an optometrist. Don't go staight to the ophthalmologist, because they charge an arm and a leg and the optometrist should be able to refer you if he deems it necessary.

But don't get scared yet, sometimes the dominance of your eyes can shift over time without anything changing on the lens. Just go to the doc.

A few people told me that after they got themselves a ProDrive their shooting improved. I know I sure shot better this teal season after I got that ProDrive. ;)

And of course DDM can't top this because all he does in his GT is ride fast.

I agree with the dominate eye issue. Try this:
extend ur arms all the way out in front of u while making the universal sign for pussy using ur two hands. Keep both eyes open and look through ur hands at something in the distance. Slowly bring ur hands to ur eyes and which ever eye ur hands gravitate to is ur dominate eye.
If u shoot rt handed but find out ur left eye Dom, then put a piece of scotch tape over ur shooing glasses of ur dominate eye to force your right eye to take over. If you find that this is not ur problem then disregard my long winded, bs post.
