How many of you guys have break tags for your trailers? Just heard that a buddy of mine got popped for a $200 ticket for not Avignon one. I've never had either of my trailers inspected, but I guess I'll have to start. Just wanted to see if anyone else has them, or has ever been checked.

I got one on my new boat.. never had one before and was talking to my father in law and he hasnt had one either before. Always been a law though but they never in forced.. money must be tight and want to start give us all a hard time. . Heard they were sitting at a few launchs checking, if so thats fucked up.. they need to go wry about other shit going on beside some trailer brake tags..

I heard that State police are checking for it too. I went today and got our gooseneck and enclosed trailer one today. Planning on doing 2 boat trailers tomorrow. I wish it was a sticker that you actually stuck on the trailer. Not a regular break tag that you have to try and keep up with depending on what truck you are in. I'm not sure why wlf is so worried about it though. The money goes to the state not to them

10 bucks for a year tag. Places around here look at you like you are crazy when you ask them for one. All I do is go and bring them my registration for my 3 trailers and they promptly take my 30 bucks and hand me 3 tags. No inspection nessasary.

I had some wiring problems, as soon as I got that fixed, I went to the inspection place and got the 2 year for $20 deal. I guess it is a good thing for trailers that have their own brakes but not sure why little trailers that do not have brakes need it. Problem is, lights can be working right on the way out of the driveway, and then not a few miles down the road.

I know they poppin em left and right in henderson for them fuckin trailer inspections. If y'all are out tmrw watch y'all self. They having a fishing tournament and I heard they gonna be out tjere the whole weekend.

in bama you tag the boat and dont have to have tag on trailer. equipment trailers you buy every year but you can buy a permanent trailer tag 1 time and its good forever. azz holes want tell you this though. they cost what a regular yearly tag cost. i put one on my 20 ton trailer i haul my track loader on about 9 years ago. fuxk all levels of government!! they suck

How and where can brake tags be purchased? Inspection sites where I get my truck inspected?

We don't have shit like that here. Hope they don't catch on.

Trailers should be sold with inspections just like a vehicle if there gonna be assholes about it

In the June issue of LA Sports man there's an article all about this. Basically says that it is the law but the police and wardens are not pushing the issue and writing tickets like everybody is saying.

If you trailer is an old piece of shit and the lights dont work, they should get tickets. They can't just stop you for any reason to check your trailer. If they are actually at the landings, thats bullshit!
