 Re: Holmen Marine???
Unfortunately, yes...never again... If you're looking at a MB, try Muddy Waters Outdoors. If you're looking for a GT, it's worth the drive to Shallow Water Marine in Cedar Falls. I'm just curious, what did they screw you over on?

 Re: Holmen Marine???
I bought my 23 HD from them last year I didn't have a problem called them up n had a motor on in 2 days after a jaggaloon dealer in janesville told me I would have a motor in 2 weeks and two months later he kept tellin me next week. Things went smooth for me at holmen marine but i wouldn't trip over myself to do business with them again. They were the only one in the state with a motor in stock and it was 2 weeks from hunting season. I bought my boat from sw marine in Palo IA. Great guys to deal with. They sell gtr and mudbuddy I would make the trip there again

 Re: Holmen Marine???
Gtr22, You're not the guy I've seen around town with a marshmellow and an aluminum clutch cover are you? Only reason I ask is because I've only seen one other GTR in the area besides myself.

 Re: Holmen Marine???
Sounds pretty typical from what I've heard. I haven't had anything that bad happen to me but I've tried to order parts from them in the past and they just didn't have a clue. Waaay over priced on anything and everything. Even at gun shows, I just walk right by their booth because of the high prices. My brother went in looking for a used mud motor rig last year and they wanted something like $12k for a new 35MB on a 15 year old Lowe! I think the guy you're talking about that knew his stuff is probably Mark that now co-owns Muddy Waters. He's the only one I've ever talked to there that knew anything about mud motors.

 Re: Holmen Marine???
wolfmann and gtr22 what areas of WI are you from? I haven't seen any gtr rigs around besides mine. Wolfmann you may have seen mine with marshmellow exaust if you are from around pool7/pool6 on the mississippi river. I dont have an aluminum clutch cover though. Either of you going to the Goose Island get together?

 Re: Holmen Marine???
They are dumb asses that don't no a thing and have never driven one, they were going to put a 35 on a 1851 and said it would haul. One guy was a choir teacher for my kid, when the class wouldn't behave he would blow up and cry,, no joke all kids agreed. Muddy waters know there stuff, all of the guys are nice, I sent my kid(16) over there to get my boat with money before because I knew they would treat him right. Just my 2cents
