Couldn't get a shot at a doe opening morning. Finally looks like a bumper acorn crop this year on both red and white oaks where I hunt in MS and LA.

Deer hunting here ain't nuthin but a meat run, habitat way too poor. Killed more on the way to work with my wee-hicle than I ever did sitting under a tree smacking mosquitoes.

My son hunts deer with his Suburban, he's got seven so far. Our state allows meat salvage to victims of a deer, auto collision. Every time he hits one he salvages the meat, if it isn't tore up to bad. He has 7 little deer heads painted on his door under window, Like fighter pilots used to do for air combat kills. His sububan is 3/4 ton 4x4 1990 with 6" lift and has 38" super swampers on it. It also has homemade winch pumper which rises to top of hood. Thus far no damage to Truck. A few of the deer were pretty well tenderized.
