72 Killed During Gun Confiscation In Boston

Hat tip to Right Truth

An interesting take on the subject of freedom. Make sure you read all the way to the end…very short!

BOSTON

National guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed on April 19th by elements of a para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement. Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group's organizers as "criminals," issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government's efforts to secure law and order. The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that "none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily." Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government's plans. During a tense standoff in Lexington 's town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists. Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces overmatched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops. Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as "ringleaders" of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this, people, is how the American Revolution began.

Sounds a lot like the path we're headed down today. And I wonder what was considered a "military-style assault weapon" back then?

Hmm..one day we're gonna look up and government will have taken our rights away "in an effort to keep us safe." That day has already happened. When are we going to wake up?

Alright, if you're gonna start a revolution make sure you begin after duck season, after your fat stomachs are full from the holidays, the NCAA football national championship game won by LSU, and make sure it ends before baseball season starts. BTW if you pillage my house and try to take all the ducks in my freezer I'll F you up.

The difference in then and know is not the evil forces that wanted to take away the freedoms.

The difference is that back then they had a large population of freedom loving men with still-attached and free swinging testicles that were not afraid to stand up and fight for liberty. Those men had not tapped out to the feminists, the sodomites, the multicultural education system, the MSM, the rules of political correctness, or the freedom snatching government.

The men in those days governed their own families, knew their Bible, were proficient with their arms. Those men knew how and were willing to take on hardships and setbacks.

Much of the modern day men in America are ruled over by their own wives are not respected by their own children, and they sit back reading their Maxim Magazine, wearing their Axe Body Spray, and hair gel. The modern day metrosexual male in America defines his masculinity by his ability to brew he own basement beer, smoke cigars, and play golf. He is addicted to his pro and college sports, but can not produce his own food via hunting or fishing. He can record multiple games with his DVR, but can not tune up his own vehicle or even change the oil. He is an expert with his I-Phone, but can not operate a semi auto shotgun.

Thankfully there is at least a small stable of real men, capable of running through swamps and backwaters in shallow running boats, that know how to kill ducks, catch catfish, trap crabs and crawfish, who can still operate shotgun and rifle, and are willing to fight to protect the God given freedoms laid out in the Bill of Rights.

I read an interesting article recently where the author opined that we would have been better off today had there not been an American revolution. Don't agree but his arguments were compelling. We'd be more like Canada and Australia today. We'd be better off he said, because there would be less disparity of wealth and healthcare for all. We'd still be a superpower for the same reasons we are today: natural resources. And my thoughts are that our Constitution would be more codal and specific and less subject to open interpretation; kind of like the Napoleonic code after which the Louisiana Civil Code is modeled. It's a beautifully crafted set of rules that govern almost every aspect of civil human interaction in a very logical format.

speaking of healthcare.

Ainit it funny that the democrats are now running from their own legislation? They want to hold of on the employer mandate, because they know it will financially hurt the American tax payer and have a negative effect on the 2014 elections.
