Gator glide with Teflon trailer bunks
I'm building a new boat and getting new trailer I wanted to get the Teflon bunks cause I seen on here that if you run alot of salt water it will cause pitting in bottom of boat. But I have gator glide g2 on this one and on ma last boat I had g4 and I would have it strapped down and it would still slide all ova the trailer when I would turn so what I'm gettin at is. Would the gator glide wear off from sliding on the Teflon bunks since its hard and not soft like carpet and it prop be a pain to load and unload with Teflon bunks and gator glide but just worried that it would wear off from sliding around on trailer

Probably wouldn't wear too bad but its gonna slide around like crazy.

Re: Gator glide with Teflon trailer bunks
Ill just hav to move in side bunks on this one all the way so it would be a tight fit my old boat and trailer had bout 8 inches on each side between boat and side bunks

Re: Gator glide with Teflon trailer bunks
i have G2 and teflon bunks and it does slide when trailering on corners but show no signs of wear due in the 6 months ive had it on. still looks brand new. you will learn with the GG and teflon bunks to just barely put tip of bunks under water so whole boat is basically on trailer and u can leave in gear walk to front and strap it. Sometimes it gets a little tricky on steep ramps but that maybe 5% of the time

Re: Gator glide with Teflon trailer bunks
Thanx think ill go head and do it when I had just put the g4 on ma old boat it would be difficult to put it on trailer an I learned that real quick to just put the tip of boards in water and the g2 is supposed to be more slippery than the g4 where do y'all get thoes runners at only place I know that sells them is McClain in batton rouge

Would bare wood eat up the gator-glide. Cause I can't seem to find Teflon bunks around here
