 Re: 100% financed!
If you do not have a car note, i would finance just the motor. You do need to build credit. Use the boat and trailer for collateral. But take it from me, a lot of my money went to coor's distributors and Magnolia Liquor Distributors when I was young. I could launch my boat in all the alcohol I drank from the time I was 14 to 35 and would not even need a ramp, it would just float off in wild turkey. So get the longest term loan you can get and then figure out how you can pay it off in a year and no more than two years. Then go back to your house and make a budget. Start scrubbing your spending like bad mold on siding. If you smoke or dip, quit. Same with drugs. Keep your drinking in bars to a minimum, buy at the store and bring your own everywhere. It is just empty spending. More than basic cable is the same, call them and tell them you want a better price, they will find a way.. Cut your own hair. Reuse your condoms. Uh, well scratch that. Call insurance companies and see what sort of deal you can get on your house, car and boat package. Save money. If there is something you use, try to buy in bulk. I am thinking of buying a big gas tank and having a distributor diliver and sell me gas to save money. Stop eating any food that is not prepared by you. It is just going to make you gain weight and believe me, you can save a lot of money by getting away from fast food. Bring your lunches and be prepared everyday to not go to fast food places and restuarants that are not for special occasions. Drink water from the tap instead of drinks. Small tip-Razor blades are expensive. Buy the smallest amount of blades you can and then sharpen them on the back of your belt by pushing the razor in an up motion, you can use it forever that way. See if your phone plan is the best you can get. Instead of buying Charmin toilet paper, use your fing.. no, nevermind, if I am going to wipe my shitty ass, I want the best that does it good and quick. Put a programmable thermostat on your AC, don't run your heater in the winter if you live in the deep south, just wear more clothes after you get the chill out of the house in the winter time. Don't pay for porn, just watch the free sites. Don't buy the latest gadget just pm me and I will let you know how every one of them works, I bought it probably. I am in the process of starting a new business. Listen to this dumb shit, I am going to put about $40,000 of it on a credit card. But I will not have to pay interest on that till next August 2014. I have the money in the bank to pay for it though. I want to keep as much cash as possible for emergencies, but my aim is to pay all that off before next august--if I do not, I will transfer money from the bank on any balance to the CC. And I am leasing all the equipment that I would have to depreciate so I can get the full deduction for taxes. I figured a way to use my main employee to run both buisnesses because they have opposite busy/slow times. I save money and get in cheaper. I look for deals for buying in bulk. Sometimes buying a few more items of the same thing makes the price go down a lot. Buy a house too. Even if you can only get a trailer, nothing wrong with that. They can be nice and very affordable but do not buy a custom job, too hard to sell if you move up to a house. Get the lowest note you can. But have it set up to pull out of your account twice a month, will save you a ton of interest over 30 years, even if it goes for that long. And always pay and extra few hundred a month toward that loan. By doing all of this, you will pay it off in 20 years rather than 30. Save your money that you have found you were spending on nothing, finance some things, But pay off quickly. Do not buy cheap stuff for long term stuff. It will never have a value later. For instance, If you need a floor covering or item for 4 months because something is going to change, do not buy the best on that type of thing--you get the idea. I bet I could find $500 extra dollars a month out of your check that you can put in the bank. Talk about get the feeling of freedom. And have some fun experiences with the money you save after you put some away. Hookers are not always expensive. If you do the above ideas, you will find so much money, you never knew you had.. And do an extra job , it teaches you a lot and you cannot spend while your making.. And do not look down on anyone that works hard, even if they shovel shit at a horse farm. There is a lot to respect in someone that works hard and has a few different jobs. And they normally know more about life. Look down on lawyers. There is a guy on here that is a cop, I think and also does commercial fishing in the midwest. I really admire that. sorry for the long post, just throwing you some ideas because you are young---but seem to work hard and think about what you are doing.

 Re: 100% financed!
Not buying a new one, that's why I'm having trouble, bc I don't have collateral. If I bought a brand new one I could get financed for it bc the motor would be the collateral

 Re: 100% financed!
Agreed. This sucker is showroom condition, otherwise I wouldn't be goin through the trouble trying to get it. Plus I dunno how crazy I am about the new generation PD bc it has a 3 blade prop. And the person I talked to at PD said the prop is removable like an outboard prop and that is the only prop that can go on it, no 2 blade. I'm just afraid the three blade won't work as well in thick grass and lillies. But I could be wrong

 Re: 100% financed!
0% credit card will work and its like paying cash. Just have the discipline to make notes on time. If you have not paid it off by the time the rate is to go up, then just open another one and transfer it.

 Re: 100% financed!
The way I see it is use other peoples money at a low rate -- You never know when you are going to need yours
Its easier to have the cash on hand than have to worry about trying to sell something to get the cash if you need it
