 So.....
How big of a difference does the Extreme Hull make on the Gator-Tail boats? I have only driven an Extreme hull from them but I really have my eyes on an 1846 with huntdeck. I understand all about the infamous slide and they all will in the right conditions but I'm just curious about deep water or 2-5' of water. I know sftull has one and I need to get up with him for a ride but I'm not ordering until the new year so in not much of a rush. Thanks for the help fellars

 Re: So.....
Can I make it slide? Yes. Can i make it cut & turn sharp? Yes. Does an 1846 handle as well as a 1754 Extreme? Not quite, but does good. Does better than the 54 Extreme in the mud tho.

 Re: So.....
I've got a bud who's got a new 1760 with the extreme hull and 35gtr. It's a nice rig. Don't push fast cause a the width but it does bout 25mph. I will say that it turns real nice. I will also say it don't go through mud like the square chine does from what I've seen. The square chine slides better and from what I can tell it drafts less than the extreme since it's completely flat.

 Re: So.....
My old style Xtreme does excellent, I've tried to make it slide and can't. The new ones are a little different so I can't give an honest opinion on it besides the fact that it has to be better than a square chine.

 Re: So.....
It ran a extreme the other day and its way nicer than the square chine boats. Mine is some what a mutt but turns better than a square but not near as good as a extreme. The 46 turns ok but not like the extreme.

 Re: So.....
I still think the 1846 is the one for me. We discussed mods earlier on another thread and was wondering what exactly does Hoyt charge for heads, cam and exhaust? I know I can get everything from PVT and put it on but I have already ran Al's work, and loved it, but always wondering how everybody else's work runs. Plus of Hoyt does it, I can just crank it and roll.
