 Rust on gun
What's a good safe way to get a little rust of your gun?

 Re: Rust on gun
Is it just surface rust or potentially deep? Ive used a dremel with a buffing pad made it look like new on a old ruger 10/22. That was over 5years ago and still looks good.

A pencil eraser will also remove light rust safely.

 Re: Rust on gun
That's the thing I do take care of after every hunt it gets taken apart and compleatly cleaned out because down here we have brackish waters and the salt just tears em up really nothing you can do about it not to familiar with the cerakote

 Re: Rust on gun
I'm not into the modern, camo'd firearms, but my blued duck killer gets cleaned and then a light coat of Johnsons Paste Wax, let it dry and wipe off the excess... Keeps her waterproof.
From what I see, unless you are just wanting a new bolt, clean it up with the steel wool, oil it, and use it - it's not hurting the function of the shotty - just doesn't look that pretty.

 Re: Rust on gun
The best I promise u it won't rust and brake cleaner won't take it off! It's the best coating IMO the coating that beretta uses is called aqua which is close to same as cerakote had to last 5000 hrs in a salt bath spray for the military to use it

 Re: Rust on gun
No it has to b baked on like cerakote I usually just use rem oil on bolts on shotguns due to how nasty they get! Real oily oil will cause one to gum up quick There is a new product called fire clean that is suppose to b awesome for bolts as far as cleaning them

Flitz metal polish works excellent if the gun is blued.
