Got sorta whooped by the pig flu this weekend......so I did my best to reduce the numer of swine by consumption:

Made one myself...Dang it was good.

And get this...Went to a BBQ cook off and helped a friend of mine.We had to turn in a turkey of some kind.We made a bacon wrapped turkey breast and won 2ND place out of 42 teams.

Since the post on the heart explosion my wife has made up a couple for us to chomp on. They are really good eating and very easy on the eyes. We are gonna mess with the center goodies on the next couple we do. We laugh about taking one of these to our friends who are health freaks. They would have a heart attack just looking at it. I took pics of the ones we made too but I did not want River to attack me for snapping pics of food and posting them.

Guy on the TX Forum made one with butterfiled backstrap instead of sausage and cream cheese instead of jack and stuffed the center with boudain.....looked good

I saw that -- I think that it was Skack's recipe.

I thought we were just talking about creepy.

The sleestaks were scarey when I was a kid but they don't scare me now...but that pig is really creepy and wanting me to go turn all the lights on in the house.

I just did teal, jalapenos, & cheddar wrapped in bacon, it was perfect, people who don't like teal liked it


Oh... I did marinate the breasts in oyster sauce, soy sauce, brandy, brown sugar & a couple slices of fresh young ginger for 'bout 45 min.'s.

Just before I took them off the pit I covered them on one side with some cooked down store bought BBQ sauce spiced up with a little rum & brown sugar. Mmmm

Yum. Sounds delectible!!
