Re: Problems with my smoke pole
I have an SX3 and have had 2 shells FTF, but no problem with any ejection. Both FTF problems were in the same box of shells and were 3.5". I have shot a bunch of 2.75"-1 oz-1 1/8 oz shells with no problems though. Like said earlier pull it all the way down and clean and oil with the reccommended lube.

Re: Problems with my smoke pole
he prolly wouldnt have dat problem wit a 1.125oz load either. but, the light loads dont have enough "pop" to eject.

Re: Problems with my smoke pole
I have never had any problems with my SX3. I really dont take care of it either, i treat it like my old 870. Check the gas operating system though. If there is any grit or oil in it, it will cause it to not eject light loads.

Re: Problems with my smoke pole
The solution is to experiment with hotter dove loads. Buy some of the heavy dove or heavy target (Win AA's) and I bet the problem will be solved. Also, how new is the gun? It may just need to be broken in.

Re: Problems with my smoke pole
Yep sounds like da gun is broke and can't be fixed. Best bet is to sell it to a sucker. I tell you what I give you $50 for it. No seriously, alot of autos dat shoot 3 1/2" shells don't handle light loads well.

Re: Problems with my smoke pole
My huntin buddy had the same prob with his new sx3 last year, sent it back, didn't get it back till this spring, still the same. Just don't dove hunt with it, or take the $50 jk it's a great gun other than that.

Re: Problems with my smoke pole
Try some Max Dram dove loads not the promo poppers. Most 3.5" autos will shoot those. My Maxus 3.5 shoots promos just fine.

Re: Problems with my smoke pole
when guns have problems shooting light loads, usually they're dirty or not broken in....
