Post Cooler Boom Box
I guess this is where I put this... I want to build a nice moderately loud portable radio. Thought about getting a piece of sheet cooler and putting a radio and amp inside. And drilling out 2 big holes for two marine speakers... Has anyone built one of these? Lookin for ideas, pointers, possible expense and titties

Mine hooks straight to the battery on the motor. It lasts for hours without starting the motor. Has 4 polk audio marine speakers in it and a cd player with bluetooth in it. Works pretty well. Cb5331 built mine for me. Did a hell of a job on it and sounds good. I even put it on the back of my welding bed and jam out on the pipeline

Sounds good Caddo, yes I like the mobility of it too I could bring it anywhere. Will definitely be building it in a roller cooler like lacours. What brand is your radio head? Blue tooth sounds convenient

I ordered 4 pyle 9x6 marine speakers and that ipod/aux ready amp pyle has. Gonna go with that for now with no radio head unit. Hope a single battery will power that for a while, just have to see. Will probably only use 3 of the speakers depending on how much room I got. Hope all that isn't a pyle of sheet!

if you looking to buy one look up tigertunes on FB. He makes some sweet setups and will do whatever you want. He has even made a Yeti ice chest radio for some guy.

I cant figure out what everyone makes them in the shit ass coolers.

All the big spenders around here and I never see any in a Yeti or K2.

I'll make mine in a shit ass cooler because what's the point of putting it in a nice one. I'm more of a DIY person I'll be damaged if I buy one, and on top of that specially a yeti.. I don't want that image. However I did buy a yeti to keep my beer and harvested animals cool for a while

Checked out tiger tunes to get some ideas. It would be cool if he could get a logo of an elephant trampling a tiger on a rolling cooler . Call it ROLLing TIDE

X2 ^. I still feel like a dumb ass for buying a yeti for general purpose. But they came out with that blue so I broke. I'll be proud of my shit ass cooler radio, that I made.
