I have an opportunity to join a lease east of Reggio. Anyone on here hunt in the area? The area is west-northwest of Grand Lagoon. Any feedback is appreaciated. Thanks

Heard a few good numbers from that end last year

Grand Lagoon is due north of me straight up the twin pipeline about 4 miles. I am not going to lie to you or try to scare you, but that whole area got its ass kicked from Isaac. Not sure the numbers and feed were too great last year. It took a 12 foot storm surge and stripped all the feed. The numbers were in between good and great the last few years.

That area was a dead zone last year. No one I knew back there did decent. As with any place it can be boom or bust it just depends on where the birds want to be.

If you do a member search here and pm JD he has had a lease back there off bayou lechoup(sp) for years, he can give you a good review of the area.

Year before I knew some guys that were slamming them back there.

Thanks for the feedback. we are going to go check out the area for signs of recovery from isaac and most likely take the offer. Have not been in the area duck hunting since the early 90s and trying to get away from all of the new duck commanders out there on the WMAs.

Pray for no hurricanes this fall. Ironic as a kid growing up in the 80s, we wished for hurricanes to come in order to miss school and football practice. Now cringe every year they come our way.

It looks real good back there right now as far as feed grass is concerned. If we don't get any storms we'll have feed for them
