I am in need of a cam and cannot get ahold of Cody or Calen or anyone. I flattened the lobe on my cam last month and new to buy a new one and have the bases ground down to fix my valve geometry as well...and season is right here around the corner...does any one have any suggestions or answers?

I've never had a problem calling and talking to Calen. I spoke to him several times over the past few weeks.

I called twice last week left a message with an employee both times and still never got a call back

Maybe the man is bowed up a dont want or can't take on anymore business right now? Any who I talked to him a couple of days ago about a boat I ordered from him, no issues getting a call back. You gotta hold ya mouth right when his guys pick up the phone and you leave a message with them.

I haven't tried to call Calen in a while but I sent him a few PMs and he still hasn't got back to me yet either. It doesn't sound like I'm in as much of a bind to get in touch with him as u though. I'm sure he is bowed up with work. He'll get back to u when he can.

I tried to order a motor in jan and tried for 2 weeks and have up then I've been waiting 2-3 months now for a call back from him to do mods so I just said I'm not begging someone to take my money....

seems like a lot of people also call and ask to talk to Calen and thats it. the mechanics that answer the phone can answer the majority of the questions people have

The reason why most don't get a call back, is because when a part is sold, it is sold as part only. Not with 2 hours of mechanical phone support. I suggest that Calen do not sell any parts. He ends of losing money selling to Want to Be Mechanics that don't know What the Fuk they doing. So, in conclusion... Anyone that wants a part for engine, make sure you know what the fuk you doing. If people wouldn't try to save money, and do shit their selves. Using phone support as a direction book, then Calen would have enough time to call and talk to others.

Well all I can say is that he is a very friendly person and likes to talk. When im there we talk for a few minutes then I make myself leave. I feel like im slowing him down with all the work he has.

Sell a part that has a dealer cost of 200.00. Normal mark up is 20%. Meaning you sell for 240.00. Profit $40.00. Then you have to go ship the part. Takes up 15 minutes or so of time. So, now you made 30.00. Then the person that bought the part had no clue what to do with it, and blames the person that sold it for it not working properly. At no point do they take blame for not know what they are doing. So, to make it right, the seller must sty on phone for an hour or so holding the (buyers) hand teaching him how to do the work that pays the sellers bills.

Save money on things you know how to do. Like.. Cutting your own grass.. Turning A/C up a few when house isn't occupied, don't take off so fast from red lights (save fuel).

It's almost like:::: My finger is infected. So, I'm just going to go buy the bandages and call the dr for support after I cut it off myself. WTF. Some things you just don't do.

I heard nothing but good bout calen until recently. Maybe he has personal shit n his life he needs to tend to, idk.

But what I do know is that I called him twice, both times a mechanic answered. I told him I was looking to buy a cam, coils, and gaskets.
Both times I was told I needed to talk to calen,
Both times I left a name and a number and was promised I would receive a call.

Personally I don't give a shit how any of u choose to run a business. My point is simply, if u don't want my business tell me so I can take it elsewhere. Don't make me think ull get back to me while I'm waiting around meanwhile when I can take my shit elsewhere. Tell me u don't have em n stock, r that u don't sell parts. No more, no less

I agree with FD. Boat Dr. Will always take time to answer a question for a customer. I know there are a lot of dipshits who don't know anything and will bug you to death, but you have to deal with the good and bad when running a successful business.
