PSE Wave or AMS Fish Hawk
Does anyone have any experience with these. I see that Bass Pro carries the packages and I'm looking to buy my first set up. Just curious of any problems that they may have, etc. Thanks!

Re: PSE Wave or AMS Fish Hawk
Muzzy is a lil more costly to use. With loosing arrows and such. AMS is pretty simple and not much cost involved once paid for

Re: PSE Wave or AMS Fish Hawk
I got a good deal on a used wave and I like it. If I wouldn't have found the deal I would have gotten the PSE discovery

Re: PSE Wave or AMS Fish Hawk
Definitely follow DDM's advice.
PSE Discovery 2 Set at 33# is all I think I'll need for the fish that I go after.
F&D Archery has a nice combo setup that you can purchase for about $300.00.
Be sure to get arrows without the slide and have the knocks set in permanently as it is so much easier to remove an arrow that has passed completely through the fish. 4Cody4 recommended this type of setup to me and I don't think I'll need a different bow in my entire life.

I got an AMS fish hawk with the AMS retriever reel on it and four extra arrows that I'll ship for $250.

Re: PSE Wave or AMS Fish Hawk
give fred a call a f and d he's a hell of a guy to do business with. I have 2 29 lb discovery's and one 40 lb model. 2 of them i shoot muzzys on and the other i have for newbies and kids i have the ams on. I personally like the muzzys because there a little faster and you can tie to the back of the arrow. either way you go you'll be getting a good set up.

Re: PSE Wave or AMS Fish Hawk
Hard to beat the deals the 2 members are offering though for a complete setup

Re: PSE Wave or AMS Fish Hawk
Not really a deal on the used ones above, although they are fair priced you could buy a new d2 all set up for $300 to $315 depending on reel choice. But it's up to him.
