Marine Survey/Appraisal for buying a used boat
I am buying a boat and financing through my credit union. They are requiring a "Marine Survey", essentially a survey from someone certifying the value. It's 12' Gatortail Extreme w/ GTR 35, hunt deck, pointed bow, extended front deck, the whole 9 yards. Anyone know of where or how to get this done? I called gatortail she had me e-mail Bubba, I'm not sure how fast he'll get it done though.

I bet they would accept a statement from Gatortail as to value since they manufactured all of it. If not http://www.marinesurvey.org/Surveys are not cheap.

I ran into a similar issue when I purchased my boat. I provided my credit union with the original invoices from the seller. Also, the credit union did some research on the hull and motor to assign a value to it.
