Any one blow the NBG call they have. It's a single reed. In the market for something new and was looking at this call

I had the PH1. I liked it. Only problem I had is it would lock up after some callin.

From what I seen this one has a new tone board. I'm looking at a RNT short barrel also. I blow a micro hen now

I'm an RNT addict. If ya like em I'd stick with em. Seems like every time I get a call from another maker it never measures up. I've been through 50+ high end calls and RNT is by far the ones I enjoy most. The only other call I regret tradin is the Hybrid from Refuge.

Yea that why I asked. I love my RNT just ready for a new one. After looking and reading looks like the short barrel may fit my calling of all of them.

Short barrel is a good call. I believe it was the first RNT I ever bought. Raspy low end with a mid level tone and volume.

That's what I like to be able to get really soft. My micro hen is like that also.

Short barrel will be somewhat louder than yer micro. If yer lookin fer quiet the diablo is the way ta go.

Short Barrel is what I used the past season. Butch made it for me. It has been my favorite call from him. I talked to him yesterday and he is going to make me a daisy cutter and have the full scroll done on it.

The full scroll daisy cutters look really good but never liked the sound of them.

I've been using a old style for about 5 seasons and I couldn't think about picking up another call. Also have a wood timbre that is still quiet but louder than my old style.

Short barrel is a very good call and love how raspy it is on bottom but its a little to loud for me.

Anyone blew the daisy slayer? Got 2 buddy's that have them but haven't blew one.

Not exactly your question, but the Zink PH-2 poly sucks! I get zero range on it. Makes great single quacks.
I have an acrylic Zink Paralyzer SR-1 Canada call that is awesome (tried the NOS, but returned it).

For ducks, I have the Echo XLT and Timber acrylics and love them. I'm thinking of getting a Open Water call for really windy days (or when their WAY out there).

X2 on the Diablo I picked one up last year. It's is hard to beat a RNT call

Bout to buy by me a diablo. With that said, short barrel has been the go to call for me for a long time, and has helped kill a lot of ducks. Tried lots and lots of different calls, and I always end up back at RNT.

Plus I very much enjoy walking in to the shop and talking to Butch.

wouldnt trade my diablo or timberhawg for anything! 2 great calls. id take the diablo over em all.

Zink NBG and ATM. Have one of each. Blow as hard as you want or as soft. Both really good calls. Skill level of course plays into this. Definitely worth a try.

I might have to get a new RNT or something of the likes.
I've gotten to like the single reeds a lot more than my old DC double reeds.

x10 on Diablo and timber hawg! my favorite calls, I quit buying calls now, and I've probably got 50. them 2 and a whistle is all I use now, got a drt I use sometimes, it's quiet .

Y'all need to try the New Old School. They are badass lil calls. Pod, did you get the diablo from me? I can't remember
