I have a 35hp motor and was wondering if I can still hunt both units. I just don't want to be that guy and screw up haha.

Lmao, ol Giga blew that one out of proportion. You can run a 35 at JD's but you'll be joining the other 500 newbies that are running around lost & screwing up their hunts.

I can't really think of any rules or restrictions there other than regular state and federal laws. You can run your 35. I wouldn't go spend a bunch of money on. A GPS if you have a smart phone. If you've never hunted there I would recommend at least stopping by the check station and checking it out and talking to Luce or one of the other guys before your first hunt. Don't show up and try to wing it the first time at 4am with no scouting like some of the Aholes I've seen. Shoot me a pm if ya want somebody to ride out with for som scouting

Get a winch for big hill .... and get in line before midnight... I seen people in line last year after the split at 6 oclock pm the day before.... usually 14 groups in line by 1 am...... I show up at 330 am and are usually in the 20's.... I think I was #27 at least 10 hunts last year. But I can wait late, I know the secrets...

There was I think close to 150 hunters opening day last year. Prolly same this year if not more. THIS IS THE HONEST TRUTH!!!! As of right now there isn't shit for ducks on either unit. Hopefully that will change this week. I work there and don't even know where I am taking a buddy and his son this weekend for the youth hunt.

yea..i tried finding some saturday.. that didnt happen.. saw the local Black mallards .. and one group of teal and one group of greys.. hopefully the full moon and cool weather we are having will push em down
