I use the cheapest oil I can find. It's a lawn mower engine. Rotella 15 w 40 works great. :D

Mobil 1 extended performance is the ONLY 100% realy synthetic mobil offers. the one that sayd fully synthectic is still petroleum based. I run sythetci becauser its a btetter oil. Look up an independant survey and compare the molecular structure of sythetic oil compared to Dinosoar oil. You will see synthetic has a smooth molecular shape compared to Dino oil whick is really jagged and rough looking.

Post Re: Engine oil
I'd be interested to see what yall have to say about this:

I was told we should be running a heavy racing oil? I was told that our engines run hot and can literally break down the oil because of the temperatures were running our engines at. Thus, we change oil every 15 hours... I know mines dark and black each time I remove it.

I'm curious to know how many of yall have tried a heavy racing oil as I was told it would provide less friction & therefore less wear when the normal synthetic oils would start to break down.

Oh, I'm running 10-30 Mobile 1 Synthetic.

I changed the oilt that came with my motor at 15 hours. I replaced with Mobil 1 and I now have 52 hours. Oil is a little darker than when I poured it in but it still has a honey tint to it. Not black at all.

Well I was running 10w-30 mobile 1. I just went to 15w-40 valvoline premium blue because I run it in my cummins and I have a lot of it. We will see what it looks like in a few hours.

If it is a stock engine. You DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE IT EVERY 10 HOURS.Change it at 50 hours.Or when it gets dirty.
