They used to be much better than they are now. Actually, 10 years ago I loved them. Their QC must have changed. I stopped buying them a couple years ago and haven't had a single problem since.

I bought many boxes of kent tealsteal at the beginning of teal season and had a real wet hunt, my box had about 6 inches of water in it at the end of the day somehow so my boxes were submerged. I brought the shells home, dried them off, and packed them back up and they shoot the best out of any shell I've ever shot. Havent had a dud yet. Using them all throughout regular season.

Was shooting 3" #3 black clouds out of a SBE at the first of season with a factory mod choke and made shots I had no idea I was even capable of making.. I just bought a Winchester sx2, with a kicks mod choke.. Im going to see how those shells do in this gun... Im not much for the more expesive shells, but Im a believer in those shells... the black cloud #3s hit hard and hold a good pattern with that gun and choke pattern

Anyone ever look at those black cloud pellets? They really don't have a "cutting edge" as depicted. What federal has done is figure out a way to sell pellets that haven't been finished into a spherical pellet. Sometimes in bags of shot you can find these same pellets. The wad used in BC loads is unique. So in other words federal is charging people double for fucked up pellets in a newly designed wad.

Oh I gotcha.. Yeah I knew it had something to do with the wad.. I think im going to try the nitro steels.. going in the morning and using federal blue box #4s
