Ran a bunch of limb lines this weekend. Got 100 yesterday and 88 today. Used cut skipjack for bait. All blues and channels except for one 20# flathead on a live polywog I caught yesterday. Fished 8-16" under the surface.

I'll tell y'all something - Juglines, limblines, whatever, if you want a badass hook, try the mustad demon perfect circle offset 3x strong. They are pricey @ $15 for 25, but there is not a fish in South Louisiana that can bend these hooks. Been using the 5/0 and 6/0. I Like the 6/0 but could go bigger if targeting big catfish in order to get a bigger hook gap.

3 man limits both hunts.

That is a great mess of cats. I will have to try those hooks.

Bait For jug lines, we have used cut up wieners soaked in garlic. Done very well with it. Put out 50 jugs and about 25 most I have caught in one run.

Where can a NW La. fella get some skipjack. I used to have a source that would bring it to me. I always liked it way better than the shad we have available here.
