How do you wear your Kill Switch Lanyard?
I have been putting mine on the wrist. But I feel like it takes away mobility when maneuvering sometimes. How many attach to your body or life jacket? I was thinking of attaching to my belt in the back some sort of way.
What does the MMT guys say?

I have a tie-wrap on my life jacket that I hook it to.
That way you put on both af the two most important safety devices on at the same time.

Wear mine on my wrist and that's where it seems to work best for me. It can be troublesome at times when froggin or what not but it's not terrible.

I have hooked to belt loop, always seems to get hung up. Got an elastic band, (actually a esd ground strap from work) allows to be put on forearm, over jacket or bare. Wearing it is a big deal, that not allot of people do. Which with the tiller torque these motors make, is a requirement.

I wear on my wrist, it seems to work best for me. If handle gets jerked from my hand while running through stumps and timber then it kills it.

Never put it on... I just use it as a way not to lose my key.
Probably not very smart.

A flag wouldn't be a bad idea. Has saved my ass. Where some of you run some hairy terrain. Only takes once to kill someone, yourself or someone's kid. That's heavy load to carry

I can't believe no one has mentioned the d-ring on your waders yet. That's where I wear mine. Either that or the d-ring on my lifejacket once it's colder.

Re: How do you wear your Kill Switch Lanyard?
What's wrong with wearing waders? I'm talking neos here. It's cold as F in a boat without wades on, especially on the way home. Don't think they'll sink you.

Re: How do you wear your Kill Switch Lanyard?
Seen a guy get sucked down 15 ft cause he was wearing waders. Once they filled up he was able to tread water to get to the surface. Had to take the waders off to get him in. Scary stuff. It didn't scare the stupid out of me tho. I still wear them when I am running. This morning I was in 50ft and had them on.

Re: How do you wear your Kill Switch Lanyard?
I never wear my waders while I'm in the boat. It's definitely a stupid thing to do. Why are some of you under the impression that you need to have waders on if you're hunting out of the boat. That's the only time that you don't need waders! Get some warm pants. I also wear an inflatable life vest. Y'all have fun drowning because you wanted to look cool or you didn't wanna buy warm pants. My MST fleece lined pants or my insulated bib is plenty warm for a thirty degree run. If I go in the drink, I can float with my vest and kick my shoes off to get back to the boat or the bank if I need to. Trust me, I've been thrown out of the boat twice while underway.

Re: How do you wear your Kill Switch Lanyard?
Waders are the only piece of clothing that holds up for me. If I have a coat on. Any coat. Coats up to $500. they get shredded up here. If it is 0 degrees and you have a 30 minute boat ride in 5 to 7 footers with constant spray coming over the bow and you are frozen solid when you try to move afterward it shreds your coat with slits everywhere. The only answer is a Viking suit but I don't have $1500 for it. Or possibly a gerber battery operated suit but those are big bucks too. 30 degree runs would be nice but I would be in fear of growing a vag

Got 11 rigs. They start at 12' and go to 30'. Down to 60 outboards(just sold one 2 days ago) Wife loves it. Now on lake Erie I am running my 20' Starcraft. It's pretty seaworthy.

I replace the clip on the kill with a big carabeaner so it's easy to clip on with gloves. I clip it to a belt loop or the waders.
