I think it is kinda of a neat story no matter which way Phil gets the boat and motor or who gets what out of it. Does it really matter to anyone else what they use for boats and motors? Like some one said they would go out and either purchase anything they wanted or even used their name to have it endorsed to them. That is life, that is business.

You folks can believe what you want, but the 100% truth of the matter is just what I stated, neither Phowler or Copperhead solicited this deal, we have not paid anything for this deal. Phil's people contacted Copperhead, they took some motors up for them to test out, they liked them very much for what they want to use them for and asked to have some matching boats built, Copperhead recommended Phowler, they have heard of us (we met Phil and the crew a number of years ago at the DU Great Outdoor Festival in Osh Kosh WI, they were right across from our display) and knew we had a solid reputation of building custom duck boats so they contacted us via Copperhead with what they wanted. They did offer to buy one of the boats and motors - Copperhead and I declined. Yes we hope to get some promotional value out of the deal, but our goal was to show Phil that Phowler does what we say we do, get boats the way the customer wants them. There really is no more to it them that folks. If Phil wants to give his endorsement because he likes what Copperhead and Phowler put together for him we will most certainly welcome it, but not for $$$.

Yes Phil is in the business of duck hunting and promoting it, we are a company that caters to duck hunters - only makes sense to go with an opportunity like this when it comes along and see where it goes, would be a fool not to.

It's nice that Phil called y'all and everything. But it's just that Phil jumps from one thing to another and endorses the chit out of it. I think it's a good thing for both Copperhead and Phowler. In my eyes y'all have done nothing wrong its just Phil. It would be different if he went back to Go Devil and Browning but he just keeps going from one to another and calling it the best.
