Where can you go to get one of these? Badass bird

mandarins look freaking awesome..i think some ppl shoot them up in north or south carolina if im not mistaken..would love to shoot one to

I saw a shit load of these in China when I was courting my (now) wife. It took a lot of self controll not to snatch one up, break it's neck, and smuggle it back to the USA.

They are native to Asia, pretty common for bird collectors to have one in an aviary. The few that are killed in the States normally escape from private collectors or zoos.

The Duck Commander killed one several years back in a DVD. They hunt not too far from a zoo that has a few.

i know of 4 killed around my town, theres a guy about 30 minutes away that raises a whole bunch of them every year and turns them out, im guessing the ones killed were from this guy but idk....

Yeh they are badass lookin! I wish someone around my town would raise them n set them loose

I'd have to see a lot of research as to how they (a non-native invasive species) would affect the native ducks and habitat before I jumped on that bandwagon. That's the kind of hurried thinking that got us overrun with hogs.

Friend of mine shot a drake and hen on the local river a few years back. They are beautiful
