 Re: motion decoys
im talking about water motion not spinning wing motion lol i have mojos and use mojos and i believe in them i put out 4-5 each hunt and usually i am the only one killing around me i hunt a open lake though no marsh i just want something to keep a hole open if it decides to ice over ever again like this year but on the no wind days id like something to keep ripples in my spread that draws them in more then anything and i usually hunt by myself and i do run a jerk cord but its hard to jerk the cord, call, and get ready to shoot and i usually dont stop calling till they are a few inches from the water

 motion decoys
I am definitely going to snag some motion decoys for next season. Tired of working the jerk string.
I'm probably going with the Higdon Pulsator or swimmer, maybe both.
When you guys use the butt up Pulsators, do you worry about water depth for realism? I mean, do you try to put them where it's shallow enough for birds to actually feed?

 Re: motion decoys
If you hunt a permanent blind/spread, you might look into a wakemaker.
Only thing you have to worry about is some fool runnin through the spread and tangling all those lines up

 Re: motion decoys
depends on water depth!
You can set that line close to the bottom where they shouldn't tangle too bad, unless there is a ton of grass like everywhere I hunt!

 Re: motion decoys
The Higdon pulsators are nice and easy and self-contained. Mallard machine is awesome with a remote. On quiet days it's loud to leave running. The wonder ducks I have seen lately look good but fuck the D batteries. Jerk strings are awesome but deep water the dog stays in it and it's a pain in the ass if you in the boat... but by far the most realistic. When it's really still we will use one if it's needed.
