Post Re: glock .380
I carry G22 and G27 regularly. Like an above poster, my backup mags are G22 mags. Great little feature IMHO.

I will have a G42. If it shoots half as well as my G27 I will be happy, for some reason I shoot the 27 better than the 22 which makes no sense to me.

I have shot a variety of micro pistols, including Kahr Walther etc. I shoot a lot but for some reason I have had tons of malfunctions in pistols that the owner has no problems with. I think my shooting form is a little soft. I was also uncomfortable with .380 but that was many years ago and I think the ammo has improved greatly. I always felt the point of aim was not as instinctual with the other makes after shooting a glock so much. As a result of the things above I just stuck with my 27 but the 42 changes all that.

The 42 will be a backup to the larger pistols and will be the pistol I carry when I wouldn't normally carry.

I will buy the best ammo I can find that passes function test and roll with that.

I have not shopped them yet but I haven't seen night sights as an option? WTH?

I really like my xds 9 mm. Love the size. Hopefully glock will come out with the 42 size in 9mm. Oh and the trigger on those lc9s and lcp's are horrible.

Im with crews. The larger caliber just makes sense to me. When i worked as a medic i picked this guy up that was shot in the side of the head at point blank range with a 38. Wound was through and through. And as God as my witness when we got there he stood up from sitting on the couch and sat down on the stretcher for me. He was in a bad way and covered in blood… but, if a man can stand and sit on his own after that kind of injury after a good 10minutes, he can damn sure keep pulling a trigger.

As to night sights, I read where the sights for a G36 will fit the 42.

[quote="forever draggin

The grip angle is garbage!
Until gen 4's replaceable back straps a glock didn't fit anyone's hand!

The factory polymer sights r the worst I've seen including Taurus![/quote]

The grip is fine for me. I've shot many other handguns of different sizes and calibers. The most accurate one for me was my G19. Some guys I shoot with it's the XD for them (I can't remember which one). Guns aren't a one size fits all.

I agree that the Glock sights are not as good as other manufacture. In fact the Glock sights are probably the item most modified with aftermarket parts.

Glock is just like a ak the tolerance's suck that's why they will shoot in all conditions. IMO they really are junk but they are very very dependable

Y'all are crazy. The factory tenifer finish won't rust that I've found. It is an ultra reliable gun. It's polymer frame is durable. The trigger takes some getting used to but it's very good for a combat handgun. The armorer tool is a punch, that's it. The magazines are interchangeable, ie a G17 & 19 mag will fit in a G26 gun. It's the most carried handgun brand by LE agencies. It has been copied by a shit load of companies. And you are right, the factory plastic sights suck. Until you carry one and train with one, don't say they are junk. I can tell you this, from dealing with SIGs side by side with Glocks, everyone involved chose the glock. They are not the end all but they are certainly not junk.
The new interchangeable backstraps do not change the grip angle, FYI.

The tolerances are tight. Go see how the barrel locks up in the slide and tell me there is slop.

I would say in the last 8 years I've seen well over 500,000 rounds go through glocks and can probably count the failures that weren't a result of the shooter on 1 hand

yall niggas are crazy to think a glock is junk. like bsh said its probally the most carried gun in the USA by people that require it to protect their lives on a daily basis. i trust my glock before any other gun i own and is why its carried the most.

Military tested all kinda of guns they actually choose beretta not because they were they cheapest because they lasted. Here years back they started having barrels crack and was pissed of course and they started studying the round counts and it was crazy how many rounds had been shoot threw them with +p ammo! No other manfucator even come close to them.. They started seeing cracks at around 500,000 per barrel..

But I truly think y'all missed my point... Ab the glock. You could leave one outside in the sand for a year and pick it up and shoot it leave it in water shoot it.. They are reliable as they come but they are no where near they best fit or best part gun out there. Guess there is a difference in opinion what people consider good shit.
