I bought a 26 gallon atv sprayer from Northern Tool. I have only used it for spraying my food plots, but the one i bought came with a boomless spray nozzle. Seems to me that you could easily mount the bracket for the boomless nozzle on the bow and it would work perfectly. Just my opinion, but is could work very well.

the spray rig helps on sticky ground and when breaking thru dry marsh. when u run behind a boat spraying deisal u have to keep feathering the gas cause the boat wants to take off.

on sand i don't think anything helps too much.

i use wisk brand detergent. it's cheap and slimy. i mix a capfull or 2 to my 6 gal tank and it works fine.

there is sum stuff called surfactant that u can use that is supposed to be super slimy and eco-friendly, but i haven't found it yet.

remember that u probly want to make it temporary on ur boat. in other words, ur only gonna use it a few times or months out of the year.
i usually take mine out for hunting season as the grass is all dead and easier to run than summertime when its all green and sticky.

I have a buddy in Abbeville that's in the soap business all ECO friendly stuff you can wash your hands with it and he can probably mix up a batch and give some of you LA guys a sample... Assuming you'd go back and grab some more

I don't know if it's the same surfactant you guys are talkin about but you can get it from a herbicide dealer. We get it to mix with herbicides to help it stick to the plant better just as we use dish soap if we don't have surfactant.

yea, it's the same stuff they use when spraying herbecide. i just need a name and i'll try it out in a few months.

b.a., when we spray honcho or 2-4d in our duck ponds, i just throw my 15 gal atv sprayer in the boat and spray out the back of the cage. the propblast spreads the heck out of it!!!!

I use the cheap castrol super clean knock-off. I put 1 or 2 gallons in a ten gallon tank. That chit is slimy! The day I rigged the sprayer, on St. Augustine (very sticky) I would have to floor it to slowly move by myself. Turned the sprayer on, added two grown men to the boat after running by myself and could ride around very easily.

We used this stuff we called liquid snot on our directional bore rigs for pulling back gas line, it was like a 1 qt mix for 300 gals and was definitely super slipper.

You guys are fortunate you're still aloowed to have those systems on your boats.

If you're caught with them here in Florida, they will confiscate your boat.

You can't even have the nozzles mounted with no system onboard. It's considered prima-faca that you use a sprayer system.

Alot of us keep a bottle of soap on the boats but some will even write you a ticket if it's not bio-degradable.

They've really gotten tough on water quality issues in Florida.
